Plot synopsis:

After receiving a doll from his former sempai from medical school, Sugiura, Ryuunosuke was attack by the wife of his sempai, Botan. Sugiura hoped to use him for experiments creating artificial bodies, but some blood was on the doll. The blood wakes it up and tries to protect him in return for his blood. During the fight with the monstrous creations of his sempai, Ryuunosuke is revealed to be skilled in magical arts and having a special type of blood. Eventually only the doll and Botan remain to fight each other. After the doll defeated Botan, Sugiura threatened Ryuunosuke with a gun. Ryuunosuke then revealed the secret of his blood, it contains an Orochi. The Orochi kills the willing Sugiura, but he asks if Ryuunosuke will take care of Botan. So he came to take care of the two.

Main characters:

Nakatani Ryuunosuke
The main protagonist and a member of the Nakatani family. They are Onmyou, a sort of magician, and possessors of "Daketsu" (snake blood.) This means that they have a Orochi (giant snake) lurking inside them. He works as an antique dealer, but because of Botan and the doll his relatively quiet life has been turned upside down.

Vampire Doll
A doll reputedly made by a doll maker named Otokichi. She has deceptively childish looks, but possesses superhuman strength. Her hands can form into claws. She serves a master in return for his blood but only if she finds the request convenient.

Botan
The pinnacle of Sugiura's reseach and the most human of his creations. She is a young woman that has been augmented with many of Sugiura's artificial organs, but now needs to lots of meat to survive. She too possesses superhuman strength, but she seems to have little thoughts of her own.
