Plot synopsis:

One Piece focuses on a crew of heroic pirates called the Straw Hat Pirates (Mugiwara Kaizoku-dan), formed and led by Monkey D. Luffy. Luffy's greatest ambition is to obtain the world's ultimate treasure, One Piece, and to become the Pirate King. On his journey he encounters numerous enemies and friends of which some join him on his journey, to follow their own ambitions.

Main characters:

Monkey D. Luffy (Monki D. Rufi) is a fictional character and the main protagonist in One Piece. He is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. He posseses the power of the Gomu Fruit (Gomu Gomu no Mi) and an incredible appetite. His dream is to obtain One Piece and become Pirate King.

Roronoa Zoro is the first person to join the Straw Hat Pirates. His dream is to become the world's greatest swordsman, by defeating the current most powerful swordsman, Hawkeye Mihawk. He practices Sant?ry? (literally: three sword style), clutching his third sword in his mouth.

Nami is the third member to accompany Luffy on his journey. She is an excellent navigator and her dream is to draw a map of the whole world. She fights with a stick.

Ussop (Ussopu) is the crews sniper and inventor. His weapon of choice is a catapult armed with his own ammunition. His dream is to become "A warrior of the Sea"

Sanji is the ship's chef and is in search of All Blue. He fights with his legs only, because he uses his hands only for cooking.
