Plot synopsis:

Ruby Crescent is an ordinary girl. Her life is changed dramatically when her father dies and she follows in his footsteps. Her, and formerly her father's, objective is to find O-Parts: magical items hidden in ruins which grant people superhuman powers and can only be used by an O.P.T. (O-Part Tactician), Angel, or Devil. She soon meets a mysterious boy named Jio who, due to having a dark, lonely past, seeks to conquer the world. Jio is hostile to her at first, but ends up traveling with Ruby as her bodyguard. When Ruby is attacked by an O.P.T. claiming to be Satan, Jio rushes to her rescue and a battle occurs. Initially they are on the losing side, but Jio releases his true power and is revealed to be not only an O.P.T., but the real Satan. Thus, the two continue to travel together in hopes of unlocking their pasts.

Main characters:

Jio Freed
The main protagonist of this story, Jio is a boy with great battle skill, great trust towards his friends and an ability to persevere, but he also has an obsession with money and is not soon to show his feelings, often hiding them or blaming other factors.
Jio started his life without friends, the people in his village forcing him to leave after the death of his only friend Jin's parents for which he was blamed. He was later trained in the wild by a wolf, known as Zero. However, after completing his training he was chased away again, giving him a chance to complete his dream.

His third friend, came in the form of Ruby Crescent, a girl in search of her father. At first, he helps her as a paid bodyguard, but leaves once she runs out of money. She ends up fighting a man claiming to be Satan, but the real Satan (sealed inside of Jio) easily beats him once Jio is knocked out. Once Jio is conscious again, he says he will follow her until she can pay him for saving her. He claims (in front of her) that he is only her bodyguard and nothing more, but Jio sees Ruby as a precious friend and even seems to have a crush on her.

His dream is world domination, which other people often laugh at, calling it a child's dream until they see his abilities.


Ruby Crescent
A young treasure hunting girl who is researching the mysterious, legendary O-Parts. She carries an extensive knowledge of ancient languages, and her other objective is to uncover the mystery of her father Jack Crescent's death. She is almost always seen with a smile, because she says that after her father died, she realized that just crying and running away won't solve anything. She always worries about Jio and Ball when they are fighting against other O.P.Ts. Ruby shares a strong friendship bond with the two, but seems to have more intimate feelings for Jio, and she has known him much longer.
